Born and raised on a ranch near Paso
Robles in north San Luis Obispo County, Jim knows and loves the land. He
earned a degree in Crop Science from Cal Poly and has extensive
knowledge of soil types and microclimates. He has farmed land throughout
the North County from Santa Margarita to San Ardo and from Templeton to
Creston. Following his "natural instincts" and a sense of adventure led him to a period of time in the Avocado business in southern California and then to Commercial and Residential real estate in Texas. Upon his return to the North County and the farming and ranching business, the knowledge he had obtained led him into real estate and development. With his "retirement" from his own agricultural operation, he has turned his talents to marketing and development of real estate in this area. |
| Jim has been very active in
the community over the years. He recently completed the second of
two-four year terms on the Templeton School Board. At the County level
he is a Charter Member/Director on the Agricultural Task Force and has
been a member of the Board of Directors of San Luis Obispo County Farm
Supply Company since 1986. In Sacramento, he serves as a Director on the
Board of the Agricultural Council of California and was recently
appointed as a director to the Synergetic Enterprise Development Group,
also in Sacramento. At home, his priority continues to be to promote the interest of Agriculture while working to enhance balanced quality growth. "Getting to know my clients is the first order of business." Then, when their needs and wishes have been determined, that "special piece" of property will become a reality. |
